I stay here once a month for work as Judy the owner is v. friendly and the b&b is v. reasonably priced with ensuite in every room. If you are a tourist it is also in probably the best location in Ross overlooking the R. Wye and less than 50 m from two pubs on the Wye. The rooms themselves... more

def needed some tlc the rooms look quite grand on the internet but we were put in the attic room it was musty, dusty and had a big damp patch on the wall. Toilet was adequate but small and there was a big spider's web complete with spider hanging behind the toilet, think the cleaner must have missed it! Also... more

I have stayed at the White House many many times for work reasons, and I must say it's my number one choice in Ross on Wye. The B&B itself is in a perfect position looking over the river Wye, the rooms are spotless, and the breakfast great. I have always found that Judy the landlady couldn't be friendlier and cant... more

We stayed here as part of a tour around the Forest of Dean and Cotswolds and found it perefectly reasonable if not spectacular. Great location allows you to walk everywhere and enjoy the river easily. The room was fine, though with a ridiculously small TV if such things bother you. The shower did not work well, thoguh to be fair... more

The landlady was very welcoming and friendly and managed to accommodate a large party at short notice. All the rooms had fantastic views and were very clean, and tidied every day. The breakfast was excellent quality and plentiful. To sum up: Nothing was too much trouble for Judy... I would definitely return to the White House should I return to... more

We were looking forward to staying at this picturesque guest house. We only wish the welcome inside was as delightful as the outside looked. Sorry to say we couldn't wait to leave. We have never encountered such hostile reception as was given to us at this guess house. Fortunately the tourist office was able to direct my family to other... more

From the moment the door of this guest house was opened by the Landlady we were made to feel UNwelcome and a nuisance. She was most unaccomodating and made unreasonable demands on us as guests! As this was our first impression and a lasting one at that we decided not to stay and she stood screaching at us in the... more

Just had a two night stay at this delightful B & B, the third time we've been there, and as usual, no complaints at all. Idyllically situated next to the river Wye, this place is reasonably priced and very clean. The breakfast is hearty and well-cooked and Judy is always eager to help. There are some very good restaurants within... more

My wife and I stayed one night here and could not fault the guest house in any way. When we arrived the owner could not have been more friendly. We were warmly greeted, given tea and buscuits and a map of the town showing the possible places to eat which the landlady added to with her comments. The house was... more
