We had a great stay with friends. Booked on same day. We had large comfortable rooms overlooking the estuary. Staff were welcoming and polite and the meals were hot and well presented. Would recommend this hotel more
My wife and I stayed for two nights and were very impressed with almost all aspects of the hotel: the welcome was very warm, the room was just as described; clean and well-appointed, with a great view. The breakfast was the best I have had in years in a hotel and I travel agreat deal. The evening meal was good... more
Went for 2 nights with my Sister & my Aunt..we had rooms 1&2 at the front of the hotel with lovely views. The rooms were very spacious, perfectly clean & with a full size kettle & a teapot. The food was very, very good & the staff were many & helpful. I couldn't fault it! Lytham is a rather genteel... more
We were dining at Tiggis in St Annes and just wanted a bed for the night. Several hotels were for 2 nights only. We had 2 very large twin beds, a settee and 2 arm chairs in a large bay window overlooking the sea. We found this really relaxing and used this area for having... more

The location of the hotel is fantastic, just across the road from the very scenic, pretty and quiet Lytham Green, for good... more
I don't understand the previous negative reviews. I stayed here with my wife for two nights on dinner, b&b basis, after checking out of another hotel which was awful.I had to go, but my wife stayed on for another two nights. Everything about this hotel was superb. The food and service were perfect - better than any hotel we have... more
Have stayed here before and it is sad to see how standards have deteriorated. rooms are tired and when viewed against the tarif seen expensive for what you get. The temperature in the hotel was tropical, (to cater for those snoozing oldies) even though it was a mild weekend. B.reakfast was ok although the dining room is not big enough... more
After reading a few of the more recent reviews of the Clifton Arms in Lytham I am glad to hear they seem to have upped their standards somewhat and refurbished their rooms, I just hope that they include new secure locks on their bedroom doors and safes in the rooms. Over the years my family have been regular visitors to... more
