The Angel is in a fantastic location in the middle of Lymington high street. Unfortunately, the hotel is now part of a chain and is grubby and in need of some tlc. The first thing we noticed were the drains, the smell was over powering, especially when you used the shower. The room was large and the bed was clean... more

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Angel Inn along with several other couples attending a friend's wedding in the area. We chose to 'splash out' on the four poster room and, for only £10 more per night, I'm pleased we did. We were in the Admiral Bucchard Room on the first floor overlooking the High Street. The room, while... more

Stayed for one night here and had the most uncomfortable bed I've ever been in (including time spent in Army accomodation). The Inn is all very quaint and old and Lymington itself is absolutely gorgeous but there seems to have been little invested in the accommodation. The room itself was OK, clean and a bit faded but not too bad... more

My partner and I stayed at the Angel Inn on boxing day(my birthday) and as we found a stay for one night voucher (xmas deal) online for £30 for both of us including breakfast we thought why not?! The staff were friendly and helpful, the room we stayed in had spa bath and we had a balcony overlooking the high st... more

Stayed for 2 nights for Wedding Anniversay and Valentines day. The check in was easy and the staff very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We stayed in the Edward VII room (four poster) on the top floor which was very nice. Ok it's a bit dated but found it clean and that's maybe part of the ambience of an... more

Lymington a nice quiet Hampshire market town...not on a Friday night when it becomes Beirut with the oh so noisey (and I mean noisey!) drinkers until about 2am. Then on Saturday morning you're woken at about 5am by the market stall holders whistling as they clank & clang their metal frames in setting up their stalls. So on a Friday... more

We stayed at the Angel for a special occasion (admittedly because Stanwell House was full). Staying on a Saturday night we didn't get the noise of the market setting up, and with a bedroom on the second floor we didn't get the pub noise, but we went out to eat so were back after things had quietened down. It's a... more

Rocked up early evening and was offered the only vacant room, a four poster with spa bath. My expression must have said " we wont be able to afford it" so we were given a £20 discount. The four poster was on its last legs with wobbly posts and stains on its 'ceiling' (lord knows how that happened!) Spa bath... more

The Inn is in the centre of Lymington so it has very good access to shops nearby , there is a market on Saturdays too. Although the Angel is in the centre of town and one of the meeting places on a Saturday night, everything quietened down after midnight so it was no problem, the decor of the place was... more

The Angel is in the main street in Lymington. Location is therefore very convenient, but on the warm evening when we stayed, we wanted our bedroom window open but were kept awake by yelling from late-night pub-goers in the High Street outside until around 2am. I guess a bit inevitable in a town-centre hotel - wouldn't expect aircon, but perhaps... more
