Located in town, 4 blocks from train station. Nice neighbourhood with good pubs and restaurants. We enjoyed our dinner at The King's Arms. The walk to the Memorial Gardens for the PanAm disaster is .8 mile. Friendly hosts, comfortable beds and pillows, great breakfast. New bathroom but small shower. Would definitely stay again.

Joan and John are very excellent hosts. Enjoyed every aspect of my three night stay. The bed was extremely comfortable. The location was perfect for my trip for searching my roots in local cemeteries. The off-street parking was greatly appreciated .

My friend and I stayed at this excellent Bed and Breakfast for just 1 night on our way to the Highlands of Scotland. Everything was spotless clean and we were made to feel very welcome by John and Joan. Our twin bedroom at the front of the house was perfect for our needs and came with a good selection of... More

We had just completed 90 miles of a charity cycle event and had to fight strong wind and rain in our faces all the way (tough tough day!) but then we were met by Joan and John at Tarras and right from the beginning they could not do enough for us. Joan washed and dried our wet soggy clothes while... More

Extremely clean and well presented accommodation. Very friendly welcome and a nice room. The only thing I would suggest is a rear facing room if you like the window open as late night traffic can be heard. Breakfast was very good and we would definitely stay again.

We had clean, comfortable rooms with excellent drink and biscuit selection. The hosts went out of their way to be helpful and friendly, even voluntarily doing our laundry for us which, as we were cycling, was really a great help. I would choose to stay here again.

A really nice little B&B, well run by Joan and John who provide superb hospitality, excellent breakfast and many considerate little extras. I spent a very comfortable 3 days here and would recommend Tarras to anyone.

Five of us stayed here for the Easter weekend and were made to feel welcome from the moment that we first walked through the door. The two rooms that we were allocated were absolutely beautiful, and the little touches like the mini eggs that were left in our room with the tea, coffee , and hot chocolate(!) making facilities were...
