This was our ninth holiday to Scotland,we usually visit an area stay in a hotel for one night then move onto a different area. We arrived in the lovely village of High tae for a wedding. The high tae inn is a real gem, quaint, clean and peaceful. The proprietors Mark and Morag, are incredibly friendly and attentive, without being intrusive. The High Tae inn, Dumfriesshire, is a small cosy place to stay and eat. Rooms are all freshly decorated and very comfortable. The food is home cooked using fresh local ingredients. The owners are charming and make you feel very welcome. The area is lovely for walking, fishing, bird watching and sight seeing. more
