My wife, teenage daughter and I stayed at the Pickmere on the 29th October for one night. I would agree with previous reviews in that the atmosphere is most conducive to a relaxing stay... the hosts were most welcoming and helpful, even having to hand menus for the two local pubs. The room was very comfortable and we all slept... more

This place is a gem and I would highly recommend it. The rooms are very well appointed and the breakfast was excellent. This is a lovely 18th Century building in a charming rural location, There is a good pub just 400m along the road. However it is the high standard of service that sets Pickmere Country Guest House apart. Nothing... more

We find it challenging gaining accommodation for a family of 5. The large bedroom at Pickmere accommodated us well! We stayed for 2 nights and would have liked to stay longer. The experience of staying in a grand country house was great for our New Zealand children. The nicest thing about this B&B is Felicia who is really welcoming and... more

My family enjoyed a very enjoyable 2-night stay at the Pickmere during a wet weekend in July. We had 2 rooms towards the top of the very elegant house, with lovely far-reaching countryside views. The rooms and their ensuite bathrooms were rather more boutique hotel than b&b - large, very comfortable, very nice decor and very clean. It was also... more

The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast is adequate. The location is pleasantly quiet. The fake flowers everywhere are unpleasant, and the lack of any soap or shampoo in the rooms is poor. The price charged is excessive for the relative lack of amenities and service. The nearby pub is unpleasant and stops serving food at 8.30 pm. more

Management response from
Felody, Owner

In reply to the unidentified guests' comments there are artificial flowers in the bedrooms and also plenty of fresh flowers in all the downstairs rooms, hall and landings. Soap (admittedly not shampoo, something we are looking at to provide), coffee, tea, drinking chocolate, milk and sugar are provided in every room daily and now biscuits have been added to the...

Cycling from Land's End to John o' Groats in May 2009 I arrived at Pickmere Country Guest House grimey from 8hrs and 107 miles riding from Leominster. I was instantly made welcome, offered the service of cleaning my cycling clothes and given somewhere safe to store my bike. There is fantastic fod and beer available locally and the rooms were... more

On arrival, my wife and I, were both amazed at the beauty of the countryside, and appointment of this gorgeous B&B. Once the largest farmhouse in Chesire, it is now a well appointed, wonderfully run guesthouse on the edge of Knutsford. The rooms are clean and spacious with all the needed amenities. The owners were gracious and attentive as was... more

We have just spent a night in this guest house & I can honestly say it's the most beautiful B&B I have ever stayed in! This a listed building that has been sympathetically restored-it is the top end of B&B's I think. The rooms were a good size & all areas were fresh & clean. The communal areas are fantastic-the photographs... more

my husband and I stayed at this charming guest house for 2 nights, July 2008 while visiting the Tatton Park Flower show. It is an old farmhouse, dating from 1772, now a listed building. It is situated in a lovely village. The welcome was friendly, the accomodation comfortable and the breakfast tasty and filling. We would certainly return for more. more
