Stayed here for an overnight stay recently and would recommend it for it's quality service, spacious rooms and the food in The Swan next to the Inn is excellent. We found all the staff we came into contact with very helpful, polite and was made to feel very comfortable. It has an enviable location for Manchester Airport and all there... more

we stayed at this premier inn 4th of september room 108, all was ok but for an overwhelming smell,of a dirty toilet floor, we did ask for a change of room but the reception person did not speak very good english, and said his partner would be back after her smoke, after a meal [at the swan]which was ok, coming back... more

I know that Premier Inns are supposed to be cheap and cheerful, but this place is in DIRE need of a proper refurbishment. As a single woman on a business trip, I was placed in the furthest room away from reception - not really what their in-room advertising suggests (giving peace of mind and security). All rooms have their doors... more

Comfortable stay - quiet. Nice pub food and breakfast at pub which adjoins it. Basic, good value accommodation. Friendly front of house staff. more

The property is split into two parts, one a new block that is pretty charmless but the other a converted stables. The latter has exposed beams, etc but as each room has 'character' then that means there are flaws, e.g. hot water pipe so hot the room temperature cannot be controlled, next to noisy road, etc. But these stables rooms... more

I do not understand what some people expect for less than 50.00 per night? I have stayed at the Swan on several occasions and find the level of service outstanding! I have been greeted with a warm welcome, and have been given prompt, efficient service on every stay. I would recommend staying at the Swan to anyone I know, with... more

I do not understand the other reviews of The Swan; this is a budget accommodation hotel for less than 50 per room (yes not per person) I think these people were probably expecting a 5 star hotel! One of the reviews actually stayed in the hotel twice - why would you go back if it was actually that bad?! The... more

since first report of june 9 2004 our stay on 5 december shows nothing has changed. Curtains still dirty, dust still thick, toilets still smelly, remnants of toilet rolls, poor access to restaurant for wheelchairs, no ramps despite it now being illegal not to have wheelchair accesss. more

Stayed at the hotel on 23rd May before flying abroad. The room was filthy.....dirty net curtains, mildew on window frames, carpet not been vacuumed properly and the toilet a disgrace. The meal in the restarant was possibly the worst I have evern had...inedible. Management so poor, seemed to be run mainly by teenagers who hadn't a clue. I would bot... more
