We stayed here for 2 nights, the adults in the fabulous Bu suite and our teenagers in a lovely twin room. Both rooms were lovely, with extremely luxurious and large bathrooms. Only stayed for one night in the Odinstone room, but wish we could have stayed longer. The room was spacious and had been tastefully decorated to a high standard with flatscreen TV and enormous bed. Lovely big room and huge bathroom with fabulous views over Kirkwall. Good food, friendly staff and owners who took time out to give us local info and recommendations. I was in Kirkwall on an archaeology tour when I stayed at the Lynnfield Hotel. The staff treated me like Royalty the entire time I was there. When we arrived we were disapointed by the welcome from owner/manager,not the usual orcadian welcome. Menu was not as good as other hotels in kirkwall,glad we tried them.Nice room but felt hotel over rated. more

We travelled recently from Australia and found this small hotel very comfortable and friendly, with an excellent restaurant. There is a great lounge area. The rooms are gorgeous. Views over Kirkwall are great. more
