As you can see from the reviews, some very good, some good and the comments of the others aren't worth the reading. I have been travelling to Lerwick for many years, I've stayed in every hotel in the town and the fact is they are all over-rated, over-priced and no different from any other hotel country wide. You will get... more

Stayed for 2 nights early September, and could not fault either the property or its owner, Trevor. He proved to be a friendly and helpful host, and the guest house was a level above any that I could imagine of this type. Breakfast was vast and fresh, and the staff were keen to do whatever it took to please. We... more

Not a place I would recommend. Manager extremely rude. Very unhelpful about providing early breakfast on day of departure to the extent no breakfast was supplied –not even a piece of toast. Note first departure to Edinburgh from Sumburgh airport about 07:30 and airport is about an hour’s drive from Lerwick. Room very small and overheated – stayed in middle... more

Stayed here late Jan/early Feb 09. A barren place. The room was cold and pretty shabby. The breakfast area was cavernous with no atmosphere and when trying to check out to be in time for a meeting, we got a tediously long tale about the costs of credit cards to the proprietor. Given his machine mysteriously died when trying to... more

the rooms were just about o.k. as was the breakfast, although the quality of sausage was poor. Manager/proptietor had a bad attitude and was quite chauvinistic. Evening meal, on the night we stayed in, was dreadful!! We had warm rose wine which the Thai waitress could not undestand was the wrong way to serve it, and asked if we wanted... more

Although this guest house sounds very Scottish it is all about Thailand. The decor reflects the strong Thai influence but the room was clean- crisp white sheets, and spacious. I had shampoo and soap provided and lots of towels- they were a wee bit smelly but not too bad. The shower was dated with a full screen but it did... more

Although the room was somewhat cosy, there was a good sized bathroom and powerfull shower. The room, as was the restaurant, was exceptionally clean on arrival and the room was cleaned very well each day. We only ate breakfast there, although they serve Thai food and were quite busy at night. There was a good choice of cold and freshly... more

We enjoyed our stay here. The staff were friendly, and we enjoyed breakfast in the mornings. I would certainly recommend. more

Have stayed here a number of times. Not much has changed. At £50/night B&B for single occupancy of twin value is OK for Shetland where hotels & guest houses are generally overpriced. Room quite nice. Nicely decorated & appointed OK. Bathroom OK except towels still aren't changed for multi-night stays & they smell a bit. No shampoo - seems to... more

Thankfully my stay was only for one night, the greeting on arrival was less than welcoming, the room was decorated in awful gwady pictures and wallpaper, the bed linen dirty, the duvet smelt and the shower a blast from the 1960's. We were greeted with a question of how we got into the hotel, "the people in front of us... more
