just spent one night in the queens hotel, location was great, but everything else was a disaster. Room small, unclean, bed creaked and was very annoying, did not get a decent nights sleep at all. remote controls for the t.v did not work. felt we were ripped off at £100.00 for the night. The restuarant food was just ok, definately did... more

Wonderful location at seafront in centre of Lerwick - could not be better. Slightly old time atmosphere in keeping with established hotel and typical Lerwick stone building and with very helpfull and friedly staff. Great crack in the bar and had 1st class dinner and wine ( try the pork starter ). Fascinating view from the dinning room window watching... more

The food is really exceptionally good! The staff treated us very nicely, all were friendly. the rooms are ok - not very big, but comfortable and clean, the showers were good. The location right on the waterfront, overlooking Bressay, is great. No parking is provided, u have 2 use public parking. i would happily come back! more

I mean when your hotel is actually in the water how much closer to the sea do you want unless you go on a cruise!! Decor is really tired and it needs to be upgraded but the rooms are clean the service was helpfull and the food in the bar and the restaurant were fantastic. Parking is as other have... more

The hotel is an old building on the sea and very central. No parking at hotel but free public parking close by. The room and bathroom was very clean and the daily servicing excellent. However, the hotel seemed to be more geared up to buisness travellers. Every morning we had a knock on the door by housekeeping before 9 am... more

My husband and I spent several nights at this hotel and had a room with a view of the water. Food is excellent in dining room and also in the bar where we ate once. There is no lift. Rooms are small but comfortable. We were told to park half a block away in a free parking area so parking... more

Stayed for one night on business. Was in a single room which was small but it had everything I needed and bathroom was a good size. Hotel does not have a car park but there is a town car park (pay and display) close by. The Queens Hotel is close to the harbour and has good views over the bay.... more

After reading other reviews I was slightly worried. It's true that my bedroom was on the small side, but the en-suite bathroom was big. It was however fine for my one night business trip. My dinner in the restaurant was excellent. I had a starter of scallops with a trio of Scottish puddings, followed by a big plate of battered... more

My wife and I stayed at the Queens Hotel because it seemed to be the best hotel in all of Lerwick and would offer the best opportunity to sample the local flavor. The trip to Lerwick was the culmination of a long term goal to get to the top of the UK which I accomplished with a car and two... more

rather dated hotel. food ok. be warned if you cannot climb steps you may have a problem as it has many floors (five i think )with no elevator. parking is a nightmare. no dedicated parking only a public car park which is very popular considering its near to the town centre. more
