Well, last time we stayed at this hotel, everything was fine, but tis time - dissaster - our bed was filled with bugs and my wife was bitten quite severely. We did get a different room, but not until the next day and we both had to sit in a chair all night with the light on just watching these... more

3 Aug 2009 | Trip type: Family

This is an old-fashioned traditional family-run hotel in an excellent location, situated directly on Great Yarmouth sea-front but at the much quieter end of the promenade. It was within very easy walking distance of the piers, bars, and amusements, but far enough away for some peace and quiet when required. During our stay (high season) the road along the sea-front... more

I stayed here last week on a Bridge holiday, organised by a local bridge tournament director - most of the other 40 or so people in the party were fairly local with the furthest coming from Essex. The hotel is in a great location right on the sea front and I was lucky enough to be given a first floor... more

We were part of a large party for the weekend, the food was very very good and the waiting staff exceptional, the two bar areas were small and not well organised with the range of drinks being different in each bar. The swimming pool was small and to gain entrance you had to go through the dinning area and the... more

Stayed two nights 5/6 April with a group of friends for the week-end. The hotel was clean and comfortable, although the decor in the bedrooms was very dated and could do with being upgraded, but a bonus was that the hotel is in a good position on the seafront and our room had a sea view. Plenty of staff who... more

Nice hotel

This bed and breakfast was very nice. The owners are friendly and the pool is a little small but since we were the only people in it, it was fantastic! I would say that this wouldn’t be a good place to stay if you are in a wheelchair or need a pushchair, as the lift is tiny! The rooms are... more

we stayed here on a overnight stop visiting the norfolk broads. we asked for a room with a sea view, the first one we were shown was pretty lousy, very old and very humid. however, they did take the time to show us another room on the top floor, much more modern with a very good view of the beach/sea... more

Just back from five excellent nights at the Burlington /palm court. Top notch 2* ( should be more ) hotel. Family run, with food to die for. We were on a whist holiday, and yes that did mean more old people there than normal. But the hotel would be a good base for all ages. Very nice pool, close to... more

We would like to say that we have just returned from a great weekend at the Burlington Hotel in Great Yarmouth. Our room was of a good standard with a sea view. We enjoyed swimming in the recently refurbished swimming pool and relaxing on the sun terrace. The food was really excellent and my wife was very gratefull to the... more
