My wife and I have just returned from 3 wonderful days in Great Yarmouth where we stayed at the Imperial Hotel, the only 4* hotel in Great Yarmouth I believe. Firstly, the receptionist was on the ball, very communicative and started our stay in the right way. The hotel stems from Victorian times and still holds a lot of charm... more

Just returned from a weekend break at this hotel. We paid extra for The Villa Maria a themed luxury room, not only did the room have a sea view it also had a balcony on which you could sit to enjoy the view. A good sized bathroom with a bath and overhead shower. The towels were the largest, heaviest bath... more

Stayed in a family room with husband and daughter. Cost £150 per night for bed and breakfast - we booked directly with the hotel. This didn't represent good value for money. The suite consisted of a main bedroom, bathroom and what can only be described as a bit of a corridor for the childrens room. They were all a little... more

The Imperial is a traditional seaside hotel which has been refurbished and brought up to date - though still in a traditional style. OK so it's not the height of style, but our room was comfortable and spotlessly clean - even in places you'd not normally look. It's owner-managed, and you can tell they're doing a really great job; my... more

An unexpected Pleasure Stayed with a party of 20 with my Investment Club for a Weekend Jaunt Excellent service and nice rooms, food was very good Bucks Fizz and a steak with the Full English that's a first. Good carparking, location is on the Front Members are a picky bunch and they had no complaints. Owner Managed and the benefits... more

We visited the Imperial for a function and took the opportunity to stay for the weekend. Bearing in mind this was out of season, the Hotel was fresh and clean. The staff were really first class, nothing was too much trouble. The award winning restaurant really lived up to its reputation not only for the function but for the other... more

My husband and I stayed for a long weekend in November, going up for Great Yarmouth Lions annual Charter dinner at the hotel on the Friday evening. The hotel is easy to find, right on the sea front with its own large car park. The check in was quick and friendly. We were given room 239 on the 2nd floor.... more

My wife and I stayed one night after my daughters wedding reception and thoroughly enjoyed our overnight and breakfast. The Imperial is comfortably appointed, clean and well cared for. The staff are helpful and friendly. The room (at north end, side sea view) was a bit on the small side but everything was there, with an ingenious way to put... more

It's great sometimes to just remind ourselves of the definition of the word "hotel". If you wanted to, you could find fault with anywhere you choose to stay, but this place gives you old fashioned graft to keep the punters happy from the outset. All staff in hotel uniform and glad to oblige, and being a Victorian sea side hostelry,... more

Having booked a short stay of five nights we found the staff very helpful and pleasant. The room was clean and very comfortable and the food in the restaurant exellent. Unfortunately the hotel was being used by oil/gas rig workers on the second and third nights of our stay. We decided to leave early and found the owner most understanding. more
