Very nice hotel, easy to find and rooms very spacious. The staff were polite, chatty and professional and parking was not a problem (however could see that this may be more of a problem in the height of the season). The only thing that means it didnt get the full five star rating was that the choice of food for... more

We stayed for 4 nights during the October half term and enjoyed our time at the Grant Arms. The staff were very friendly and professional. We stayed on a half board basis which was very good value. It is very much a traditional unpretentious hotel. One senses it has been doing its stuff for a long time and the revolving... more

We spent three nights in this hotel as part of a trip through Scotland. The hotel is very nice, not only for bird watchers but "normal" tourists as well. It´s beautifully located and it has got some old fashioned charme. The restaurant is excellent and worth the price. Some rooms are hard to reach because of a lot of stairs,... more

My wife and I have just arrived home after a lovely three days , we were very well treated by all the staff in the hotel. The food was all we could have wished for and the lounge we found to be very comfortable The advice given by the two knowledgeable girls in the BWWC was a great help in... more

I have to agree with the review of the couple from Lincolnshire who stayed recently – we too really enjoyed our stay here at this welcoming hotel. Our room was very comfortable and the food was excellent with a good choice of menu. One slight ‘gripe’ would be the lack of a car park; we hadn’t anticipated that, but parking... more

Recently refurbished, this old hotel has had the minimum possible spent on fixtures and fittings to bring it up to the standard of a coach party stop. And that is the main focus of the hotel - with the attendant early morning departures, which resound through the corridors and floors of the old building. The public rooms are cavernous; the... more

We stayed in Grantown, for 2 days at the conclusion of a touring holiday around Scotland. Knowing Grantown very well, we had been reccommended this hotel by a friend who had been impressed with their association with the RSPB and the Wildlife association. I cannot speak highly enough of this hotel. It was brilliant and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Nothing... more

The Birdwatching and Wildlife Club has chosen the Grant Arms as a base for its convenient situation for the Cairngorms and the Spey Valley. It is also convenient for non-birdwatchers, located just in the middle of Grantown and not to be missed. No less than Queen Victoria and Elizabeth II are claimed as prominent visitors to the hotel. The premises... more

Excellent location in small town close the river Spey – The food was excellent it was so nice to eat food that has been cooked by a professional chef rather then the usual stuff you get these days which has been re-heated in a microwave and ‘finished’ by amateurs? Our room was a decent size on the top floor and... more
