The only worthwhile B ad B in Cark. Chris and Kath are great hosts, full of information about where to go in the Lakes. Both great conversationalists, Chris with his dry sense of humour and amusing stories, and Kath is so kind and helpful, and cooks an excellent breakfast. We stopped for three nights in the Coach House family room which was great - private entrance, plenty of space for us - 2 adults and 2 large teenage boys, new bathroom etc. Really couldn't fault the room. Breakfast was excellent - good choice of cereals, bread, fruit etc and beautiful cooked breakfast. Chris and Kath are very good hosts... more

From the moment we were welcomed at the door, after a long drive from Plymouth, Kath and Chris did their utmost to make our party most welcome. I can't really fault anything about our stay. Owners Kath and Chris run this small friendly B & B in a village on the edge of the Lake District. The room I had was spotless, the shower was both immaculate and powerful and the bed was very comfortable. The traditional English Breakfast set me up for the rest of the day.
