We stayed here for one night only, having made a booking to eat at L'Enclume restaurant nearby on the last night of our short break in the Lake District. I'd say 'Excellent' except that the vegetarian options for the food wasn't so great. But saying that the staff went out of their way to put together side-dishes for me so I could eat something. The food was of a good quality. The pub itself is very cosy in the winter with a huge fire and old, dark wood everywhere.... more
