I didn't expect to be staying at the Ritz but this hotel is the filthiest place I have ever stayed in... Our room was for 3 (double & single). The linen has seen better days and wasn't clean,The towels were all stained, the carpet had it's own eco system, there appeared to be blood on the wall. The floor in... more

Really we shouldn't even write a review on this hotel as technically we didn't actually stay in it, but the fact that we'd actually pre-paid our accomodation and upon seeing it quickly went and booked into an alternative hotel should tell you all you need to know. Travelling for a friends hen party all we really wanted was a clean... more

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights as part of my summer holiday, I had chosen this hotel as I read that it was only 10 minutes away from Newcastle City Centre. I think it was more like half an hour walking distance. Arrived at about 2 o'clock. When you arrive the staff will give you the basic information... more

If a prison inmate was asked to chose between this hotel and their cell the cell would win. Wallpaper hanging off, graffiti, doors that don't lock, doors that won't open, Smell of sick, damp and 'shake n vac' Do not recommend to anyone. Letter on its way to the local environmental health dept more

Managed to park car on the front of hotel due to us being early. The room was looking tired but you did have a small fridge and... more

Visited with my elderly parents. Selected this hotel because it is within walking distance of my relatives. And seemed very reasonable cost wise. It was 33 pounds sterling for my single room ensuite per night. The only meal you will get there is breakfast, lunch or dinner not provided. I was given room no. 3, ground floor accross the corridor... more

We have just spent a weekend in the Bewick hotel, Gateshead and was pleasantly surprised at the standard of accomodation. I booked this hotel through a hen weekend website and had been affraid that the accomodation would be of a poor standard. How surprised we all were when we arrived. The rooms and en-suite bathrooms were spotless, with mini-fridges and... more
