Stayed here in a family room for one night whilst seeing a show at the Metro Radio Arena. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. in fact the whole hotel seemed immaculately clean and the staff bent over backwards to be helpful which is great to see nowadays. As we arrived only 40 minutes before we needed to go out... more

After driving around for hours we eventually arrived at the hotel, the directions given were not good. We went into the attached restaurant "Taybarns" eat as much as you like for a fixed price. It cost £8.49 per person as it was a Sunday night. We both ate the Mexican, except I never had the rice. Two hours later my... more

The hotel staff were very unfriendly and unhelpful. The room we had was also dirty with hair everywhere in the bathroom. The hotel is very close to a dual carriageway and was really noisy. more

Just got back home after a 2 night stay at this hotel. Service was great from the word go with the offer of a fan as it was a hot & humid day. Declined as we had brought our own fan. Allocated room 53 on the 3rd floor which read 26 degrees when we got in. Because of health &... more

Just come back from a 3 day stag do and we all had the pleasure of staying in this establishment. A short taxi ride from the centre of Newcastle cost approximately £10 and this was split between 4 people and to get to the quayside cost around £16 so worked out cheaper and quicker to get there by taxi instead... more

We stayed here for one night returning to the south of England from Scotland. It was easy to find, just off the A1. Parking was a bit of an issue when we arrived because Taybarn's next door was so busy - we intended up having to park in one of the disabled bays temporarily but didn't feel so bad as... more

This is a pretty standard hotel in the Premier Travel Inn chain and the rooms reflect that. However the standard is good and the rooms were clean with a good shower in the bathroom. It's located on what used to be the A69 dual carraigeway through Gateshead, it's really only accessible by car, so it's a good location for getting... more
