This is a ye-olde type of place. If you want the original Elizabethan fireplace, come here. If you want the widescreen TV, go elsewhere !
It's a couple of mins walk from the main town square - essentially an inn with a few rooms upstairs rather than a dedicated accommodation place. The pub has got lots of character, and also does reasonably priced pub grub. Rooms are pleasant, comfortable although nothing spectacular - you go there for the atmosphere of staying in somewhere that's hundreds of years old. People running it are friendly and helpful - even on a Saturday night during the annual village festival, they were willing to find me a table for food at very short notice. The onyl slightly negative thing, is that if you crave somewhere quiet on a Saturday evening, this is probably not the first place to choose - you're right in the middle of Fowey !
