My wife and I had a 5 night stay. The room we were in was superb on the groung floor. Spotlessly clean and well furnished. As my wife has a lot of pills to take both before and after eating we have to have an early evening meal so booked for 6.30 - expecting to be seated shotly after with... more

This hotel is in a good location with helpful friendly staff. The room was furnished in a slightly old fashioned way but was comfortable and very clean. We were staying half board and the food was very good. My father was especially pleased with the King Prawn starter. more

Arrived on 24th December and stayed until 27th December 2008. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. The hotel is in a great location just five minutes walk from the beach / promenade allowing us to have bracing walks both before and after Christmas dinner. Parking was straightforward. The room was a disappointment having rather dated furniture and a... more

Stayed overnight at this hotel, Friday 29th August. We were in Room 18 - a comfortable family room with a double bed and two singles, although we were a couple staying. It was in the eaves of the hotel, overlooking the garden and pond, and very quiet. Space had been cleverly used. Bathroom was small, with only shower head attachment in smaller... more

My lovely ageing parents (80's) wanted to stay near Christchurch and us in our caravan. Booked this fairly last minute, based on previous TA reviews. Can confirm that this is a family run hotel, with absolutely lovely staff and great breakfasts (so I was told). The room looked a little small to me, but my parents loved it, it was... more

Stayed here for weekend break to take advantage of the sunny weekend promised by the coast. Had seen this hotel many times on journey down to Christchurch and had it earmarked for a visit. Good location near beach and harbourside although a little far to walk. We had a room on the second floor, no lifts so arrived breathless! Room... more

Hard to find much negative to say about this place. Well, here goes: the selection of beers at the bar is very limited (wine list is rather good, though). The immediate surrounds are more pleasant suburban than evocative of the seaside (but a beautiful beach is just a short walk away). The cooking is a bit pretentious (but at least... more

We stayed at the BW Waterford Lodge Hotel for one night 26th March 2008 and were very pleased with the hotel. We had a nice room on the first floor, very comfortable with two armchairs, the view from the window was only down into a small courtyard but we didn't spend much time in the room so that was OK.... more
