It was almost impossible to get a booking here. No replies to emails, phone calls not returned and when we called in in person we were told that bookings would have to be made by email or phone!!
It becaome a challenge to try to stay and not ones to give up we eventually succeeded. The whole hotel is refurbished, still some outside groundwork to be done but overall the effect is modern. It looks like they have tried to go down the appearance of having a designer in - unfortunately it lacks a bit of soul and for the money somewhere lke Gordleton Mill or Pebble Beach has done it much, much bettter (and cheaper) They are charging quite excessive amounts for the rooms - ours was a suite that had a brilliant bathroom but for almost £200 per night it really is overpriced and the service and greeting showed that the staff although trying do not appear to have been trained.
