We (me and the husband) stayed at the Old Rectory for a few days during that scorching July in 2006. We had always fancied staying at Lacock - such a lovely little village. I stayed in the annex of this building, which comprises a kitchen, lounge and en suite bathroom. Nice location, owner seemed friendly. Not the cleanest place I have ever stayed in - bath in particular very grubby: didn't fancy washing myself in it! The welcome wasn't a welcome, the room was very very dirty and noisy, the breakfast was awful. The best thing to do is look at the building wich is lovely, and stay elsewhere. more

Charming old buliding within wakling distance of village shops and pubs. We were 6 nights in the big four-poster room which was very comfortable. Owner very friendly.
