My family and I have stayed twice at Ian and Jane's guesthouse in Newton Abbot. My daughters remembered the sumptuous decor very clearly when we returned to the same lovely room with stunning views. Breakfast is unforgettable and will tide you into the next day! We are taking lessons in hospitality from the Browns. A super place to stay.

We enjoyed our stay at The Browns Guest House. Jane and Ian were very welcoming, attentive, and friendly. Very clean rooms and cozy. The view over Newton Abbot from the bedroom window was beautiful. Delicious, hearty breakfasts to keep us energized throughout the day.

Homelands stands at the top of a steep hill, thus has the most fantastic views over Newton Abbot and the surrounding country side. There are short cuts downhill,so the walk into Newton Abbot town centre only taks about ten minutes. (Dog owners might want to eat in "Lemonjelli", a Bistro on the main shopping street. Dogs are most welcome there)... More

Ian and Jane gave us the warmest welcome, they really are the greatest hosts. Room was immaculate, views were amazing and Janes breackfast topped everything! If we are back in that part of the country again we will definitely be staying there again! Thanks again for all your hospitality.

I have stayed here many times and always look forward to go back. The rooms are all nice (I have stayed in three over my visits) and well presented and clean with a complimentary bottle of wine upon arrival. family guest house, made to feel very welcome, my room was a large double room with en suite bathroom. good quality bed. spot on breakfast. not far from Torquay.
