Travelling with two work colleagues, and coming a long way its very easy to be disappointed, but not here. Nothing is too much bother for the staff, its a credit to the owners. Clean, well maintanined, quiet, just everything thats needed in a country hotel Highly recommended more

Booked this hotel on the back of the recommendations regarding the food and also the location of the place. Came down on business with a few colleagues and even though I had to make a million changes to our bookings, the staff were always very helpful and ready to accommodate any of our needs. Upon arriving, we sat down for... more

Myself and my husband stayed here for three nights Bed and Breakfast in the main farmhouse. We received a very welcoming arrival from Nigel the owner and his friendly, welcoming attitude continued throughout our stay. Although it rained for the three days we were there Nigel was extremely helpful in offering us suggestions as to where we could visit and helped... more

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, finding the place to be peaceful, with a relaxed atmosphere and friendly service at all times. The food in particular was outstanding, with a good quality breakfast to start the day, and phenomenal meals in the evening. It's not overpriced when considering the quality of the menu, the food was of a much higher... more

The room (in the courtyard) was cramped and the remote control for the TV/Freeview did not work properly. We booked for 2 nights and this entitled us to a complimentary bottle of champagne in our room on arrival. It was not in our room on arrival in fact the member of staff we spoke to did not know anything about... more

This is a lovely spot with every friendly staff. The food was great, rooms clean and cheerful. It's a quiet spot that would make a good base for exploring the region. Our only complaint, we weren't there long enough! more

We stayed only one night while attending a concert at Dartington Hall. We were very pleasantly surprised by the welcome & ambience. We had a courtyard room with it's own patio & a view of the lovely hens. It was very comfortable & contrary to a previous reviewer we had full Freeview with very good reception. We weremade very welcome... more

We stayed in a Courtyard room. Yes, the room was what some might call dated and also quite small. However, everything was more than adequate and if you want modern bland uniformity go to a big chain - this place has character! We enjoyed peace, privacy, great service from genuine people and above all, superb food for both dinner and... more

''Had a lovely weekend away. Blue skies and sunshine all weekend, stayed in this wonderful hotel, home of a artist, she has a very old thatched farmhouse built around 1500, with surrounding barn conversions which was the accommodation. There were free range chickens on the nearby land which supplied the breakfast eggs. All food was locally sourced. Our meal on... more
