We've stayed before on prior visits to the area. The convenience to the train and car rental office are big draws. The building is old and tired - and I certainly wish it had a lift! But the staff this time was very friendly, the room was clean and fresh, the WiFi worked well, the pub food was good.

Stayed for work. Great for access to station and Newton Abbott but general feeling of tiredness. Smelt fusty/smoky throughout, despite the numerous air fresheners. Shower was a bit unpredictable and bed was not great. But then it's cheap and cheerful and the location makes up for a lot. Breakfast good too.
