We loved it here! The lodge was just as it looks in the pictures on the Forest Holidays website. We stayed in winter but it was warm and cozy. There was two of us so we slept upstairs in an ensuite in a Silver Birch lodge, although there was a twin bedroom, separate shower and toilet downstairs. Everything for self catering was there for you, pots, pans, plates, duvets, sheets etc. The cabin was clean and homely, and we had a lovely patio area where we fed the tens of different types of birds every morning. Apparently there are little pine martins that visit too but we weren't lucky enough to see one. The lodge over looked the loch and was close to Callander by car. There were lovely walks and activities for guided treks if you wanted and things for children to do. We had familes all around us and we couldn't hear anyone else. We would go back in a second!
