Fiona and Derek could not have been more hospitable during our 3 night stay. Whilst they do not specifically cater for children, they were very thoughtful ensuring our [almost] 2 year old was comfortable: recommending a larger room (beautiful, by the way, with stunning views) so there was plenty of room for the cot; providing a suitable chair at breakfast... Stayed one night on 3rd July for anniversary. Easy to find with directions from internet. Up a winding hill to a wonderful B&B,perched at the top of the hill, with fantastic views to the Trossachs. Derek & Fiona were great hosts. Gave advice on the best places to see and eat for our stay which was only for 1 night.... More

Stayed here for 2 nights in Oct. 2008. Beautiful house (Victorian) with high ceilings and plaster work for days. Up on a hill in Callander with a gorgeous vista from the front and from our room. We had a large bay window which looked out on the mountains and the liovely garden. Hosts friendly and helpful but not intrusive. Overall... More

Fiona and Derek make you feel very much at home in their beautiful house. They have done a wonderful job of renovating and landscaping the property. They have made it extremely comfortable, although with period furnishings. Breakfast was first rate, and there is tea in the evening. It is a little bit out of town and up hill. Our superior... More

We had a very nice stay at the Brook Linn. We booked two rooms for our family of four (kids ages 10 and 13). We discovered the place in the Karen Brown guide, which rarely misses, and took their suggestion to book rooms 2 and 4, which were very spacious and clean, with fabulous views. Excellent bathrooms. Our favorite thing... More

We are surprised that Brook Linn doesn't have a perfect score. It's in a great location, the grounds are lovely and our room was large and very comfortable. Plus the price cannot be beat. Derek and Fiona were gracious and helpful, giving directions and making dinner reservations for us. The breakfasts were very nice and they went out of their... More

I stayed at Brook Linn in mid-June, and it was the perfect start to my vacation. My room was a lovely double with a nice view of the hills. It was clean and very comfortable. The shower was a bit small, but I'm a "fluffy" woman. My hosts couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. The included cooked breakfasts were... More

My family of three vacationed in Scotland in the summer of 2005, starting in Edinburgh then going up into the Trossachs and the Highlands. One of our favorite places in all the lovely places we stayed was the Brook Linn House in Callender, which is run by Derek and Fiona House. The town of Callender is a charming small town... More

Brook Linn is a wonderful find. Lovely home, tastefully decorated with outstanding views. House is on a hill and private but very close to town. It is relaxing to wander the well kept gardens. A very good value. More
