We stayed for two nights in the Arden House and this was absolutely fabulous. After a long ride from Skye, we were welcomed by our host, who offered us tea in the living room with various cookies and cakes, which was a very pleasant welcome indeed. We stayed in one of the smaller rooms, which was still substantial in size... more

My partner, our best friend and I traveled to Scotland for the very first time. I chose Arden House because it is friendly and welcoming to all couples. We were greeted by a charming gentleman named William who showed us to our suites. The rooms were fantastic. From the first night, we slept beautifully in a large, comfortable bed. The... more

My wife and I had booked in for two nights in a twin bedded room following a visit to Mull. Due to the weather forecast we had to leave Mull a day early and so telephoned and spoke with William who very kindly offered us a double room for that night as the twin bedded option was not available until... more

For anyone old enough to recall the original 'Dr Finlay' series Arden House is a treat indeed. William and Ian - 'Janet and the Doctors' would be proud of you! If you haven't heard of the series - go anyway, for a wonderful treat which includes the warmest of welcomes, incredible attention to detail and breakfasts to die for -... more

This must be one of the best B&B's I've ever stayed in ... William and Ian have a gem that they maintain and run it to an impeccable standard. Our hosts made every effort to make us comfortable and welcomed ... and we enjoyed reading of the history of the house and the way that it has been decorated to... more

We have been visiting Arden House for several years having stayed there for work and for pleasure. It is quite simply the best B&B in the UK! William and Ian are fantastic hosts, extremely attentive to the needs of their clients, and very appreciative of the need for high standards in a competitive market. The rooms are immaculate and so... more

Although my trip to Arden House was over a year ago I will never forget my wonderful first night there. My Husband and I had previously given William an approximate arrival time. (It is his home, not a hotel, and I understood that they have a life.) However, with a tour in Edinburgh that took longer than expected, a missed... more

We had a warm welcome ,a delightful room and an excellent breakfast in this beautifully decorated Victorian villa. It is a B&B not a hotel. l and anyone who arrives too early eg 10.30am as in a previous review, will not be popular as this is in the middle of cleaning up time. Similarly it is rude to delay arrival... more

This really is a home from home - you can't do better! We stayed in Arden House for four nights during mid-July 2006. Even though we arrived a little earlier than planned (about 4:30pm) we received a very warm welcome (tea and biscuits soon appeared). It's very tastefully decorated, and very clean throughout. Their smallest room, nominally a single, has... more
