A superb location in Callander, as it's well off main road - downside to most of the other rated residences here - and the hosts strike the balance that is attentive when necessary, and accord privacy the rest of the time. Fantastic breakfast, with superb view of hills beyond Callander. Thanks

Arriving in drizzly mist, late on a Friday afternoon, after a long journey, the mood quickly changed on meeting our jovial hosts, no strings of rules and regulations, basically-"enjoy yourselves". We were shown to our rooms by Ash, and were all absollutely delighted by what we found. all rooms are very spacious, tastefully furnished and decorated, with tea/coffee making facilities... More

Ray and Chris are great hosts, with lots of local knowledge. The breakfast choice and standard is fantastic, and the dining room friendly and informal. Our bed was very comfortable, though would have preferred plumper pillows. Location great, very quiet but just a 5 minute walk to main street shops and eateries, which are very varied with some that are... More

Stayed as part of the final leg of our honeymoon. The room was huge with a sofa, desk and teamaking station. The en-suite shower room was lovely with plenty of towels and toiletries available. The room was clean, but because the carpet is light coloured it's worth changing out of your wellies if you come back from walking before going... More

My wife and I stayed at The Knowe for three nights in August of 2011 with our parents and grandparents. The rooms were very nice and large. Breakfast was fantastic each morning. Best of all were Ray and Ashley who helped us thoroughly with every question and concern we had during our stay. Ray was even nice enough to have... More

We stayed here in July for two nights. The Knowe is located a few streets back from the main part of Callander. The owners were lovely and advised us on places to eat and popular sites to visit. Breakfast was huge and very well-prepared. The room had huge windows with great district views - lots of natural light. There were... More

Had a lovely two day stay in late August. Great en suite bedroom with separate sitting room, with lovely views out across Callander. Building has an interesting history. Breakfast was excellent - this Englishman really enjoyed the full Scottish, complete with nice haggis - with excellent fresh fruit and cereals. The owners were really friendly, rustled up a couple of... More

The breakfasts include fresh fruits and yoghurts as well as the full scottish.
