Just got back from this place and I think the reviews are a bit unfair. My girlfriend and I wanted somewhere cheap to stay over the weekend for surfing and this place is fine. The warning signs should have been the fact that the 'L' on the word Hotel was missing from the sign on side of the building ... you enter the reception area at your peril ... We chose to stay at this hotel as it is situated right on the beach at Bude and has all amenities like surf hire etc close by. When we got to the hotel we could'nt do much but laugh as it must have been a residential home for the elderly at some point and has not been altered in decor... more
