I booked this hotel because it had a well-recommended spa and was not too far to drive on a Friday evening. The old part of the hotel is nice but the garden rooms are really just an up-market Travelodge. They are 1960's two storey buildings with small balconies - the furniture and decor were quite nice, the bathroom well equipped... more

We stayed for a weekend in mid-July. It was a treat for my boyfriend's 30th birthday. The booking went smoothly at the time - I booked a garden room for 2 nights. I then phoned up a couple of days later to book a table in the restaurant on the Saturday night and to book both my boyfriend and I... more

Stayed at Careys Manor for two nights in July. The old part of the hotel we only briefly walked through when arriving, as our room was in the garden view annex. The staff are incredibly polite and friendly. I'm not sure what the rooms are like in the main house, in the garden view annex they are roomy, with large... more

Spent 2 nights here in a garden room. The hotel is split between the old manor and the new wing with garden rooms and spa. The manor house itself is quite beautiful but the modern wing lets it down a bit. The garden rooms are classic generic corporate style rooms with access to a very small walled garden. The room... more

We visited Careys Manor for a 4 night break. We booked direct with the hotel and they were efficient and helpful. Our room was very nice, with good facilities and efficient service. We ate at The Manor Restaurant for two nights and the food was wonderful and the staff excellent, especially Anna. The spa is wonderful with lots of different... more

My daughter and I went on a special offer, which we thought was a very good deal. It included dinner, bed and breakfast, and a Rhassaul mud teatment. The spa was fantastic. The staff were all very helpful and the facilities were very nice. The hotel was ok. You can hear talking from the next room, and we had a... more

We stayed at the Careys Manor Hotel last weekend to celebrate my husband 60th and to play some golf. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room, which opened out to the garden was very comfortable, well equipped and relaxing. The breakfast was ample and a good selection of cereals, cooked english breakfast etc. We did not eat in... more

I booked a weekend stay at Careys Manor for a birthday treat for my Sister, All was going well until we were due to leave when unfortunately I left a very expensive pair of shoes in our room. I reported it to the staff but they said they could not find them, and said they would phone me, they did... more

I am very sorry that this reviewer believes our staff to be untrustworthy. The reviewer when checking out searched her bag and announced a pair of sandals to be missing. The duty manager checked the bedroom immediately; at this stage no other member of staff had cause to enter the room. There was no sign of the sandals. The duty...

My partner and I visited this hotel for a relaxing weekend break. We were attracted to the hotel for two reasons: neither of us had ever visited the New Forest area, and the hotels main restaurant had been awarded two AA stars (We are both real foodies). The hotel was comfortable, although our room was a little smaller than expected.... more

We booked a two-night stay (Friday-Sun) a few days before we were due to arrive to take advantage of one of the offers they provide for those booking at the last minute. We got the offer of two free evening meals for both nights (normally cost £79.00 per couple per night). The occasion was our first wedding anniversary and so... more
