This hotel is a great place to stay to visit the New Forest. Room was pleasant, traditonal but good modern bathroom, TV etc. Breakfast was excellent. Nice terrace in the summer. Outdoor heated pool was really good, as was indoor pool. Staff friendly. Definitely recommended. more

The staff at Balmer Lawn very nearly RUINED my brothers wedding. We orginised and booked the receptions and rooms 6 months prior to the weeding date. We booked 6 rooms, the wedding menu and DJ all with a lovely wedding co-ordinator who unfortunately left the hotel a few months before the wedding. The hotel is an impressive building overlooking a cricket pitch and set back enough from the main Lyndhurst to Brockenhurst road so the traffic noise isn't a concern.
