We stayed for two nights on a special deal which included dinner. It was off season and we had a great time hiking around. We thought the hotel was lovely, our room was sweet and overlooking a field. Having dinner two nights in a row in a Michelin Star hotel was quite a treat and compared to the London prices... more

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights for our wedding anniversary May 28/29 2008. We had booked room one which on arrival didn't give us the wow factor we had expected considering the price paid but it was clean and the bed was very large and comfortable. We were not very impressed with the 2 small chairs in the... more

Here is a great restaurant with rooms - nothing more. I would recommend the food but the hotel was a shambles. The welcome we received was as per other reviews - distinctly cold and unwelcoming. They were more concerned to move us out of the corridor to let lunch guests pass. The room was tiny by any standard - we... more

Hi We stayed in this hotel for one night mainly because of the good reviews on this site and the restaurant being in the "Michelin" guide and really enjoyed it. We booked our room last minute and paid £120 each for Dinner, bed and breakfast. The room, number 17, was very comfortable and clean. The only downside was it only... more

Stayed here for a single night on a dinner, bed and breakfast deal (£265). The hotel was chosen for location (its in the middle of the New Forest) and michelin starred restaurant. Starting with the food, we had a very enjoyable meal and would happily return and eat there again. Staff generally consisted of young French men, and whilst service... more

I must say, on reading some of these reviews, I'm starting to wonder if I stayed at a different hotel. My wife, Babs, booked the stay at the beginning of September for several reasons, mainly as a surprise for my birthday and also to visit the Grandkids in Lymington. As you drive up, the house is stunningly imposing (it takes... more

Me and my partner were recommended to eat and stay at this lovely hotel by a friend, and although we only stayed the one night, I am sure we will be going back again very soon. The grounds around the hotel are well looked after and give you an immediate good feeling about what to expect inside...and it doesn't dissappoint!... more

Stayed first for our friends wedding, then my birthday and loved Whitley Ridge then. We booked the same room although it had been refurbished it was still as we remember, warm and welcoming. The owners and staff remembered us and made lots of fuss which we obviously enjoyed. Much has happened to improve with a delightfull new lounge and a... more

We were met on arrival by 2 young men in long black aprons - very French - who took our bags, insisted on parking the car, and showed us to our room which was quite small. This was during the warm spell in July and the room was v ery very hot, even with all windows open and the fan... more

It is dissapointing that our smart efficient young staff were not so well received by these guest, others find them charming. We will review this situation, I do take some positive in that the guests were met at the door and we offered to valet park their car. The food and service had no complaints other than age of the...

I had booked a 2 night stay for myself & partner in the Piggery Suite at Le Poussin at Whitley Ridge after checking out the beautiful looking accommodation & being attracted by a special offer on the hotel's well presented website. I was really looking forward to a spending a few days relaxing & getting away from it all the... more

In response to this tripadvisor comment I wish to present the case from the hotelier/chef. As stated on our confirmation check-in is from 3pm. To expect check-in at midday is unfair. Further to present the wrong name for the booking does not allow us to locate the booking that had been made so we were unable to be of assistance....
