We happened upon this select touring caravan site as it was the only one with vacancies through Easter 2008. What a find. Louise and Nick couldn't be more helpful and friendly, like family from the off. The site has large level hard standing pitches and lots of lawned areas with good space between the caravans. The shower block is free and very clean with lovely hot showers. The site is part of David Bellamy's conservation scheme and recyclilng is encouraged. There is a huge field to walk dogs with a short track cut around the edge and through the middle, our Dachshunds really enjoyed this. There is a well equipped play area away from the caravans which wasn't used much whilst we were here as the children were at school. We stayed initially for 2 weeks and returned after 4 weeks for another stay. York is only a 20 minute drive and the scenery is very pretty. Lots of pubs and eating places make this an ideal location. more
