Booked this through late rooms for our wedding anniversary.....phoned the hotel direct to check that we would we given a double room, not twin, and explained it was our anniversary..and the receptionist said she would make sure we had a nice room.... And she did! We arrived, and were given the most gorgeous room with a big bay window overlooking... more

We stayed here recently as we attended a wedding at the hotel. Our room was in the annex, and although fairly small, was spotless and furnished/ decorated to a good standard- the bed was extremely comfy! The food we sampled were the wedding breakfast, which was delicious though silver service meant portions were not satisfying enough for everyone, and breakfast,... more

Stayed for a wedding in September last year in a superior room for £130 a night. The room was small and on moving the pillow had the misfortune to see inside. The pillow was brown with dirt and had obviously not been changed in years. The room was not cleaned to a high standard and smelled of damp. The bathroom... more

My husband and I stayed here for a romanic weekend away. The staff who greeted us upon our arrival were bright, happy, friendly and very informative. There was a 21st birthday party at the hotel that night, but the staff ensured we were able to check in, get drinks and dinner without this affecting us at all. The restuarant staff... more

We stayed one night here and found it to be disappointing. It was expensive for a small room that was in need of a bit of an update. We ate in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast and enjoyed the food. All in all, ok but not great. more

Firstly I should say that we never stayed in the hotel and merely stopped off for some food while travelling. Upon arriving at the hotel (purely by chance) we were very pleasantly surprised by the beautiful setting and decor, etc. When ordering food our waiter was very pleasant and attentive and all seemed to point to a lovely meal. Unfortunetly... more

The moment we stepped into the hotel the staff were very attentive and helpful. The bedroom we were given had a huge bay window with an excellent view over the lovely gardens. The food was FABULOUS and very well presented. I would definately recommentd this hotel to anyone without hesitation and will most certainly return for another stay!! more

We enjoyed every minute of our 3 night stay, from the moment our party of four arrived at the Morritt to the moment we left. We booked for the New Years Eve Black Tie Ball and stayed for an extra 2 days. The accomodation was excellent and the food was to die for. Every meal was above standard and we... more
