We were welcomed and given our room keys in a very friendly manner. The rooms were very clean, dated but had all we needed. On the first morning a member of staff,... more

We are a middle aged couple who stay in a variety of hotels throughout England & Wales two or three nights per month due to business and our own holiday accommodation and were pleasantly surprised with the hotel after reading one of the bad reviews. We stayed in room 148 and the standard was the same as a Premier Travel... more

Cant'quite understand the reviewer who complained about the seaview.Reminds me of a complainant in a hotel in Torquay. The proprietor asked if she expected to see herds of \wildebeeste roaming across the Serengette Plains. When is a seaview not a seaview? An excellent Hotel for a 2star.You get what you pay for. more

My sister and I were visitng friends for the weekend in Weymouth and found the hotel to be very well situated as it was close to the town which made visiting the tourist attractions just a short walk down the beach. The staff were very friendly with our waiter always cracking jokes and making us smile, he made the effort... more

We usually stay at the Prince Regent next door,a fine 3 star hotel,so thought the drop to 2 star at the Russell would be small. In fact it was gigantic. The sea view room except for the sea view was not up to standard in any way.Mouldy bathroom dirty blankets. The hotel smells old like most of it's guests. The meals were simply disgusting... more
