My partner and I stayed here for one night last week. In the room we had, the beds were ancient, mine was sat on blocks of wood, the mattresses were totally rubbish and worn out, far too soft, we both had bad backs for days after. The carpet had not been vacuumed since God knows when, I tried to keep my shoes on. Around the edges and in the corners of the room the floor was thick with muck and cobwebs. The ceiling was one of those high ones and dripping with dusty cobwebs that had obviously been there for years. The tiny en-suite was dirty, the sink and taps were grimy, the toilet had not seen bleach ever I doubt and was littered with past guests pubic hairs and ‘splashes’, the shower had hairs in it and the water pressure was not enough to get a decent wash. The towels were ancient and all frayed at the edges.

The sheets seemed clean but the top coverlet was very old and dirty and was immediately stripped off the bed. There was tea and coffee and a small kettle in the room... more
