I can only assume that anybody writing a bad review about this hotel must have stayed in a "standard room". Next time they shouldn't be so cheap and pay for one of the "superior" or "luxury" rooms! As a child, I was always a big fan the TV, in particular Philip Schofield and Gordon the Gopher. One thing that did however puzzle me is how two people could live side by side in a broom cupboard. Stayed at this hotel after viewing many other properties and booked mainly as were very impressed with the hotels website. Booked a standard room which we could not view on the hotels website, but from reading previous reviews and also looking on the website went ahead and booked. Just returned from staying in a 'superior room' at the Cranleigh, this is without a doubt the best hotel I have stayed in on a British holiday. Recently stayed in one of the luxury rooms at the Cranleigh, was fantastic. Everything the website promises and more. Well worth every penny. The mirror/television in the bathroom was a definate favourite! Perfect for romantic weekend away or relaxing girly weekend. The staff were brilliant - nothing was too much trouble. My husband and I stayed at this hotel last week and thoroughly enjoyed our stay - wished we'd stayed longer !
