I have no hesitation in recommending Dene House. When you read all the reviews you do ask yourself, "This can't be true!" but it is. My partner and i arrived during half term in October and were pleaantly surprised. Had a lovely two nights break at Dene House last week. Everything was perfect & we wish we could have stayed longer. Hotel is in a quiet area yet really near to Bowness. Our room was spotless. Highly recommended ! more
We had a fabulous stay; the staff were superb, the rooms excellant, the breakfasts sublime, and very good value for money too. We will definately go back. more
One arrival at Dene House we were offered tea and cakes/biscuits. The ginger cake was wonderful, one of the best I have ever tasted. The guest house is the best weve stayed in.The rooms were spotless and homely.Made very welcome and the breakfasts were excellent there was alot of extras you could have as well as a full english.The lakes, shops and pubs were only a few minutes walk away so we couldnot ask for more . This is the 10 time we have stayed at "dene house " and the service just gets better and better , it is more like home, they only thing missing is a full fridge of booze ??? wll done dennis and kath and staff more

I doubt if I could find anything to fault at Dene House. The welcome from Lisa and Chris was warm and friendly, and I was sat out on the terrace when I arrived with lovely plunger coffee, warm ginger cake and biscuits.
