As the old saying goes - 'You get what you pay for'. This is so true at this lodge. The time you book always depends on the cost of your room, as with most chains these days. So I guess when you could pay £9 or indeed up to £55. We paid £19 and £22 per room and I believe... more

I booked this hotel for the August Bank holiday trip to Lake District due to most of the hotels in Lake District area were either fully booked or very expensive. As usual, the room was clean, spacious and tidy, basic but well equipped. I can't ask for more, really. But one thing though, the mattress quality was very poor, I... more

I booked a travelodge because all I was looking for was a base to sleep each night. I found the staff friendly and the rooms clean and tidy. I stayed a total of 5 night and I found this to be a good base to travel around the South Lakes. You can order a basic prepacked breakfast or there is... more

We enjoyed our stay at this Travelodge. The room was clean and the staff were very helpful. It was great value for money. We even had a view onto a small lake with swans, herons and other wildlife. A short stroll from the back of the travelodge leads to a pleasant walk with great view of Walney Island and beyond.... more

Picture a plain, drab, red brick Travelodge located in the middle of a patch of waste land with the closest amenities being a Domino's Pizza (the smallest Domino's in the UK)... oh yes there is an ASDA with a cafe about 15 minutes walk away. This place is truly awful with staff to match. Beware all ye who enter here... more

I was rather disappointed by this Travelodge, though I'm not sure whether that was due to the town or the location of the Travelodge. Barrow in Furness has a rather depressed look about it, and it appears to have had the heart ripped out of its shopping centre. The Travelodge was clean, the rooms had all the usual features, but... more

We got a £9 special deal from the Travelodge web. We have a small Romahome motorhome it would cost more to park in a field. Found staff at this time pleasent and helpful. They got us extra tea, coffee sheets, and pillows with no trouble. The room was clean, comfortable with loads of hotwater, yes the baths are a little small but they... more

Had a one-night stay here. Upon arrival I was greeted by a rude receptionist where everything seemed too difficult. Got to the room which for the money was adequate, and that's all really. There is no bar at the hotel. There is a pub about a 5-10 min walk away. There's an ASDA over the road so get breakfast there.... more

Stayed here on 27/09/2008...fine if you find sleeping on a bed harder than the M6 with pillows as thin as paper..we had to put the towels inside the pillow case to make them even remotely comfortable..we had to make up our own bed as the duvet left rolled up on bed,,our sons rollaway was so hard we all had to... more
