Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Excellent service from start to finish. It was our mum's 80th birthday so it was an ideal venue for our 4 generations of family to get together and celebrate and have a delicious Brends Carvery. We had a few small children with us so it was an ideal room for the children to play around without disturbing other residents.

Just back from the Rock & Roll weekend. Great music & friendly people. Hotel doesn't look anything special from the outside but inside WOW. Really smart throughout & staff professional but so friendly. Our room was spotless. Restaurant with linen tablecloths & napkins. Breakfast buffet style. Waiter/waitress service for dinner. Food was exceptional in quality & taste for all our meals. Didn't use the leisure centre but the indoor pool looked very inviting. Wanted to book for the next R&R weekend in October but it had sold out already & easy to see why. We did book for January & March next year which really says it all. Congratulations & many thanks to all the staff & to Steve & Carol for organising such a superb stay.

Myself and my mum stayed here for one night and it was such a fantastic stay. Clean, friendly, fantastic size rooms. The restaurant was the highlight for us, the food in the evening was amazing, top quality with great selection. We were told it changes every night which must be great for guests staying for a long period to change it up.

Booked my 60th birthday Sunday lunch here needed to add my elderly mother who decided to make the 8 hour trip for the weekend...phone 5 days in advance to add her to our table to be told NO cannot do that. The table was booked early for 12pm for 12 people.....apparently they can't add her as the computer system won't allow it...so I have cancelled the whole booking and have been accommodated at another locally run restaurant. After years of using the Brend hotels I have decided against going to any of them again.

Thank you for leaving us a review, I'm sorry that on this occasion it wasn't the experience you was looking for. In regards to the booking I'm sorry that we couldn't fulfil the needs of the extra person on this occasion due to being so busy with large parties already booked in. Usually we would be more than happy to do this request with no issues, however this time it wasn't possible and I do sincerely apologize for this. Whilst I do appreciate you gave us notice with calling 5 days before but the reception and management team tried to move tables around to make this possible but like I said on this occasion our award winning carvery is in such high demand this weekend that we couldn't add the extra person.

Great location, great food, great service, good gym and spa. Would recommend. Pool gets very busy at certain times so best go early. Breakfast and dinner are excellent quality and great value - service all round was friendly and efficient

Having stayed in this hotel every week for the last 3 months I’ve got to know it pretty well. I could talk about the spotless rooms with comfy beds and fluffy pillows, the delicious food served daily (the gluten free Pavlova is my favourite ☺️), the pool/sauna/gym facilities and the gaming room, all of which are 1st class. But, this hotels best asset is it staff. I have never met a more friendly, attentive and professional staff like I have here. Brend Group, what ever you are paying them, it’s not enough. 😜 Working away from home is hard, very hard, but staying in a hotel like this, the way you’re treated from day one, like your part of the family, makes it a wee bit easier. From the reception, the health club, the bar and the restraunt staff nothing is an issue for them. I know it’s their job but it’s done with a smile. Every time. 😊 I’ve meet friends for life here, too many to mention, but you know who you are. I will miss you all when my time is up. 🥹 Thank you for making my stay here so enjoyable. You make this hotel what it is. Make sure you come to Belfast for a visit and let me know when you run out of Tayto crisps and I’ll send more over 😂

We stayed here as very convenient for a family wedding. The staff are very helpful and well trained in customer service. It was a comfortable hotel with good facilities and excellent food choices. We had dinner and breakfast in the hotel both were served well and tasty. The leisure facilities are good too, we used the gym and the pool. All in all a very relaxing stay.

Our first visit but it won't be our last. The room and pool were beautiful, but what really sets this hotel apart is the staff, they are excellent. We didn't eat dinner as the menu wasn't to our taste, but breakfast was great and again, fantastic service from the team. Would highly recommend for both families and business trips.
