My husband and I stayed here when we were down for a friend's wedding earlier this month. Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer! The location was beautiful, the cream tea and breakfasts were delicious and the owners welcoming without being intrusive. The rooms are within the farm house and our room (the ash room) was beautifully decorated,... more

We stayed at Bowden Farm early Nov'07. The weather wasn't fanstastic, but Bowden Farm was amazing! The room we had was excellent, felt like home from home. Sue made you feel welcome and left you alone and didn't intrude. The breakfast was amazing, def go for the full English! There's a dining area for guests and also a lounge area... more

We just returned from a night at Bowden Farm and were very impressed with the experience. A lovely rural working farm that boasts the best Cream tea I have had in ages. We had a really nice room with a roll top bath in the massive bathroom. The host Sue was very welcoming and she looked after us really well.... more

Practically hidden in the midst of rolling Devon farmlands, Bowden Farm is a rural retreat par excellence. This historic farmhouse has been sensitively and extremely tastefully converted into a charming B&B, which strikes a perfect blend of traditional (exposed wooden beams, haphazardly curving rooms) with an up to date simplicity of design. The overall effect is completely and uttely relaxing,... more

Wonderful setting. Very charming B & B in rural Devon. Lovely rooms complete with every little touch you could want for a perfect stay; soft sheets, comfy bed, throws and blankets made from the wool of the shetland sheep that roam the organic farm. Open fires, books and long walks. A perfect place to chill out. Decorated to a high... more

We recently spent 3 excellent nights at Bowden Farm. The rooms were very comfortable and there was a great selection available for breakfast every day. Fantastic cream tea on arrival, too! Sue was very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We intend to return. more

We have just returned from our wonderful weekend to North Devon. The main purpose of our visit was to spend time with our nephew who lives locally. We had considered local hotels but struck gold when we found Bowden Farm ! The setting is idyllic and the accomodation itself exceeded all our expectations for a bed and breakfast. The rooms... more

What a find! Lovely working farm set in a valley. So peaceful. Rooms are spacious and comfortable - DVD player, TV and CD player in each room, beautiful beds, tasteful furnishings. The hosts are charming - so friendly but not 'in your face'. Breakfast is AMAZING, as were the scones with the cream tea when we arrived. Get a good... more

What a beautiful place - fantastic rooms and excellent hospitality - if you take all three rooms available it's like being in your own home with the added bonus of not having to make your own breakfast! We fully intend to go back in the summer. more

We stayed at Bowden Farm Luxury B&B accommodation for two nights. First of all, the location is fantastic ..... off the beaten track in the heart of North Devon. The house itself, part of a working farm, is charming and very inviting indeed. Downstairs is the large living room, with it's gorgeous log fire to keep you warm even on... more
