It was good to return to Moor End again and have a warm welcome from Mary and Rod. We stayed for six days while visiting family in Durham and once again had very comfortable and clean accommodation. We did not need to use the car while there as the bus service into the city is very convenient. We will definitely... more

Gorgeous. Light and airy en-suite room with heaps of character too. Breakfast was perfect. Mary and Rod were very friendly and helpful. I felt like they were old friends, very warm people. To top it all I was in the attic - heaven. It was a stop over while working in Durham. I was very comfortable with a clean bathroom... more

This is a perfect B&B for visiting Durham. Mary and Rod were marvellous hosts and the room was spacious and clean with lots of nice details. There is a bus stop a 2 in walk from the B&B that will take you in to Durham. Its only a 5 min journey and a return ticket is under £4. Mary suggested... more

The accommodation was first class being light, airy and spotlessly clean. The breakfasts were to die for and Mary and Rod were the perfect hosts being both friendly and helpful; their suggestions with regard to 'eating-out' places were spot-on. Nothing seemed too much trouble for them and we were well looked after on our arrival by Mary's sister. We liked... more

This was a very attractive accommodation. The decor was excellent with the most fantastic breakfast. The hosts (Mary and Rod) were so friendly and extremely hospitable. Would repeat a visit in the future. Colin Britton England more

It was our first stay in a B&B. We stayed two nights. The owners were very friendly and gave us good advices where to eat. We had nice converstations with Mary and Rod. The Indian restaurant was very good and not expensive. Maybe we will stay again in this B&B in the first week of July. Our first stay in... more

Very friendly - families most welcome. We have two young boys and they were made the breakfast they wanted. The room was well decorated, extremely clean and very comfortable (wooden floor was suitable for our son who suffers from allergies). Just outside Durham city centre so car parking is not an issue (parking on site). There is a bus that... more

Arrived to a friendly lady at the door called Mary. Her daughter showed us our room, I went with my sister, and both rooms were clean, warm and had en-suites. They gave us advice on where to eat, a pub next door. Mary booked a taxi for us into Durham town centre. We ate at La Spaggeto, £33 for 4... more

We chose this bed and breakfast for a 2 night stay to enable us to visit Durham and Beamish. We found the accommodation delightful with buckets of period charm and spotlessly clean. The temperature of the room was perfect - very warm and cosy. Being on a bus route meant we didn't have to bother with the car going into... more
