Our first thought for finding accommodation whilst visiting Durham for a friend's birthday meal was to get somewhere cheap for the weekend. Having looked at various options we stumbled across this place on late rooms. The weekend rate, when sharing with another couple, worked out to be similar in cost to other options but here we got SO much more. The quality of everything in the flat is first class, from the flat screen tv and dvd in the lounge (with a few dvds there to watch), the fully kitted out kitchen and the luxurious bedrooms; everything was designed in a way to be functional and stylish. Location wise this apartment is absolutely perfect, being right next to the large Gala area with all its restaurants and night life (although the apartment is on the otherside of the block so there is no noise) and you are only 5 minutes away from the castle for people who want to explore the true old city.
