The Coach House is situated in the small village of Greta Bridge about 4 miles from Barnard Castle. Very interesting historic building. Welcomed by Peter and Mary who gave us tea in the garden. The Coach House is managed by a friendly and welcoming couple who were helpful and generally did everything that they could to make our stay comfortable. That being said, however, the accomodations were unfortunately not as comfortable as the cost and rating might suggest. This place was the friendliest place on earth! forget disneyland its all about the coach house! The coach house is run by a husband and wife team that really know how to run a guest house. We got a bit lost on the way there but one call to the guest house and they came out to meet us on... more

This is a delightful guest house (B&B) conveniently near Beamish Museum (you can walk through the woods in under an hour or drive in a few minutes). Also convenient for Durham, Tyneside and Hadrian's Wall. Nice country walks nearby.
