I stayed here for two nights being in the area to watch cricket at Chester- Le-Street which is only 4 miles away on the A167. Durham is about 2 miles in the other direction also on the A 167. We almost always stay at the Travelodge on the other side of Durham when we're in the north east but on this occasion the Premier Inn was marginally cheaper, so we thought we'd give it a try. I was a bit nervous about booking this hotel as there were only 5 reviews, but pleased i did. It is about 2 miles outside of Durham itself. Not much to say just it's the same as most other Premier Inns, clean, large room, comfy bed, the pub restraunt next to it served okay food, nothing great but suited our needs. Don't think that at £53 it's really great value for money but it was a stopover from our break in Scotland so the location suited our needs... more

Was reluctant to stay at a budget hotel but was pleasantly surprised. The staff were very helpful, the rooms very clean. The only slight problem for me was that the bed was uncomfortable but relatives of mine were staying in other rooms and found their's very comfortable. I would definately stay here again. more

Nothing much to report here, which usually is a good thing as it means there wasn't much wrong! Rooms the exact same you'd find in any Travel Inn so I won't go into that here. Next door is a Brewers Fayre pub, which is nice and serves good, if a little expensive, pub food. It's one of those chain pubs... more
