60 Albert Street offers beautifully appointed accommodation, good food and a friendly, helpful host. I am very fussy, but couldn't fault this lovely house or the owner, Laura, who is very welcoming without being intrusive. The place is scrupulously clean too and in a lovely, quiet road very close to Durham centre. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it! more

I have just returned from a great 2 night stay at 60 Albert Street, and can't praise it highly enough. Beautiful, period property, tastefully restored and furnished. My room (twin, ensuite) overlooked the delightful courtyard, and was quiet ,really well appointed and spotlessly clean, with some lovely little touches-magazines, books, writing paper. I stayed for 3 nights in September and was very impressed. The rooms are beautifully decorated and really clean and comfortable. Breakfast is included -there is quite a large selection, ranging from a cooked breakfast to granola, fruit and yoghourt. At the top end of my budget but a lovely place and good value for the money spent. Spacious rooms, nice decor and very clean. Host was very helpful. Unfortunately I stayed at a weekend when breakfast was not available - I guess I'll have to come back to try it :o) more
