The B&B is good, clean and provides all you need.
Very close to Durham, the Adrian's Wall, Alnwich Castle and Gardens, it's a perfect starting point for beautiful journeys.
George, our Scottish guest, is very friendly and a perfect gentleman.
He gives you lots of information on places to visit, good restaurants, weather forecast,...
It's a real pleasure to talk with him in the morning during an excellent English breakfast! more

We recently spent 4 nights here and would highly recommend this Guest House. George is the perfect host -- very welcoming, very helpful and nothing is a problem for him. The breakfast provided keeps one going all day and cleanliness is of a high standard. Although situated on a busy main road do not be put off. Bowburn is a few miles out of Durham city centre so it is advisable to have a car. There is a regular bus service available but if you happen to be a Senior Citizen (and do not come from England) you may find that bus fares are expensive! Risehill Guest House is definitely a good place to choose for B & B. more
