Four nights in a dowdy room with cold breakfasts and poor disabled access left us wanting another short break as soon as possible. The only staff worth a mention was the hotel night porter, who did his best to assist us. We didn't use the bar facilities as we had read other reviews and found very cheap prices at the... more

I was there for one night with a mate - had travelled up from Brighton so he could get a deal on a motor. We didn't get there until midnight. There were a few drunk people in the foyer bar area. Although after midnight the desk guy got us beer on request (4 pints) and a beef sandwich with onion... more

The Hotel was OK, but the food and drinks where over priced. The rooms where very basic, and needed updating, decor was very poor and we could'nt get a picture on the TV. Overall fairly poor! more

First time I had stayed at this property, and fingers crossed, the last. Truth be told, it was booked because it was cheap and convenient, but that doesn't excuse the rusty fittings in the bathroom, the bedroom so small that it was impossible to swing a cat, the foul smelling corridors (the rooms may be no smoking, but people MUST... more

I stayed two nights whilst attending an exhibition in Wigan. We had a special rate (arranged by the exhibition organisers) which proved to be exceptional value. Although the hotel is tired - especially in the corridors - my room was clean and well serviced. Breakfast was okay and on the night I dined in the restaurant the service was friendly... more

Stayed at this hotel for one night in September 2007 and so glad it was just for the night. It is very outdated and in urgent need of a refurbishment. The price compared to other hotels in the area is very high and would not stay here again. The food at breakfast, well what can I say - go the... more

Room was incredibly cramped. Fittings in bathroom were rusty. Not particularly clean. Breakfast awful: The 'real coffee' they served was definately instant, the scrambled eggs were more milk than eggs, the tomatoes were cold the ketchup in the Heinz bottles wasn't Heinz, sausages were mostly bread. Staff abrupt. Entire hotel tired and in dire need of refurbishment; this is not... more

I had my 21st birthday party at The Quality Hotel 2 years ago. Whilst the rooms are quite expensive, my guests were given a discount on the room rate and not charged for breakfast which is usually seperate. The rooms were well equiped and nicely decorated. The breakfast was an all you can eat style with staff available to serve... more

My husband and I stayed in the Quality Hotel in Wigan when visiting relatives there a couple of years ago at Christmas. The rooms were overpriced, the decor shoddy and the lifts stank of sick from a Christmas party that had taken place there the night before. IndEed the night we arrived the above-mentioned Christmas party had spilled out from... more
