We wanted somewhere close but not to close to the shops, pubs and restaurants, and the Bike Fest on the sea front and you cannot get better than the Commodore, less than 5 minutes walk to all of the above but no noise at night so a good nights sleep was had in the large bed! On arrival the warmest... More

My wife and I had a long weekend here and enjoyed every minute of it. Katrina and Stuart treat you more like friends than customers. Recently renovated room was clean and tidy with a lovely sea view. Breakfast is to die for. One of those places that you want to return to time and time again.

I found The Commodore via a Google search. I needed a Dog Friendly B&B as a base to visit friends. I booked last Oct 2012. We are arrived at 2pm on the Friday. We were greeted by Katrina who was very friendly and bubbly. We took Charlie our Cocker in at the sametime. It was clear to see what a... More

We had arranged to stay for a normal week-end break but after a few days we decided to stay a few days more. On arrival we were met by Katrina and given a 'Doggy Bag' ???? What you may ask has a doggy bag got to do with a week-end break. We had arranged to bring our dog but we... More

Thank you for the excellent reviews we have received so far this year. It really makes the ongoing effort we have put in, and are still putting, in to refurbish the rooms and bathrooms over the past 3 months is worthwhile. We have a mammouth task with the re-wiring and re-decorating of all 8 rooms, we are almost half way... More

Just returned from another fantastic weekend at The Commodore. A real home from home. Travel cot and high chair provided for the little one, superb vegetarian full-English breakfast for me and a very tasty meaty full-English for my husband. Clean rooms, comfy beds, all in all a relaxing weekend. Just what we needed! Very friendly and welcoming and all run... More

From the moment you arrive, to the moment you leave, Katrina and Stuart are always make you feel welcome. First class service, comfy beds, and a delicious breakfast (cooked by Stuart) that sets you up for the day. The rooms are spotlessly clean and tidy too - we favour the sea view rooms, where you get uninterrupted views of the... More

First visit was an unexpected overnight stay due to family member in Torbay Hospital. What a welcome. Stuart and Katrina made us most welcome with their 1st class service. The room was spotless and Charlie(the dog) loved it as well. Breakfast was superior and set us up for the day ahead. It was so good we booked there and then... More
