We had a long weekend at The Amber House for our wedding anniversary and were very impressed with the standard that we received from Lloyd, Chris and the staff. We found that nothing was too much trouble for them and we would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone who wishes to spend time in Paignton. more

The owners of Amber House give the impression that they’re trying hard… but they might do better if they relaxed the rules. Just got back from an excellent 2 days at Amber House. Lovely people ! The attention to detail was refreshing and the towels, shower products, bedding and hospitality tray were really very good. Thank you so much, we hope to return the week after next. more

Stayed in the room called Tall Ships for 2 nights, I have never been to a place that looks after you so well from the minute you walk through the front door until you drive out of there car park. The room was stunning the staff all very friendly and the food was excellent, can't wait to go back. more
Thank you for writing this review. We love this room too! - as do many guests! It is our biggest room and has a bath and shower and sea view. It's modern, decorated in restful colours and has a comfortable king-sized bed. We describe it as affordable luxury! There are photos on our website too.
We booked the hotel as a treat for my mother's 80th birthday, plus my husband and my 16 year old son. As my mother uses a wheelchair access was our main priority. Easy to get to and within easy reach of the beach. Very friendly, helpful and professional attitude by everyone here. We would like to thank the reviewer for this comment.Yes, we welcome dogs too but because of our through house-keeping practices all rooms are kept extremely clean. The local beach is dog-friendly all year and we are therefore an excellent location for dog owners who like clean rooms!
